Dr Keloid: YES, YOU CAN FINALLY GET RID OF YOUR KELOIDS AND SCARS FOREVER!

It all started with a childhood case of chicken pox, recalls Keenan’s mother, Madeline. A small keloid scar was left behind, which a doctor removed—only for the scar to return, larger and more spread out. “Each time they were removed, they came back even bigger and more grotesque,” Keenan says.

The keloids not only affected his self-esteem, but also his daily life. Keenan struggled with discomfort, often unable to sleep, and carried a towel to manage the blood and pus they would sometimes ooze. In 2015, he appeared on The Doctors to share his story, and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon Dr. Michael Jones volunteered to help. Dr. Jones performed two surgeries to remove the keloids, one on each side of Keenan’s face. The procedure was more complex than expected, with the keloids embedded in a thick sheet of scar tissue, putting Keenan’s facial nerves at risk. But after the surgery, Dr. Jones was able to tell Madeline, “Everything went great! The keloids are gone.”

Following the surgeries, Keenan’s life took a remarkable turn. “I’ll say this—not to break any hearts—but I’m newly engaged!” Keenan shared. “I can honestly say, the person I’m engaged to saw me for who I really am. She didn’t focus on my appearance—she looked at my heart.”

Keenan went on to marry his fiancée, and now lives a life with far fewer concerns about his appearance. With smooth, clear skin and a renewed sense of confidence, he has embraced a new chapter with an improved quality of life, free from the limitations of his keloids.
